IOS 11 has significant improvements to screen-capture, making it more simple and allowing built in markup tools.
When you press the two screen-capture buttons - Home and Screen On/Off, a miniature image appears. Click on this and you go straight into editing view.
Usually cropping the image is all that is required. Just drag the blue lines to do this. The markup tools allow drawing on the image and adding text labels and arrows - like the blue lines already on this image.
