This is my folder of eBook apps and links for reading, listening and finding books. There are many providers but the largest is Amazon's Kindle. Prices are very similar between Kindle and Apple's iBooks.
Kindle separates its reader app from its online store. There is a separate online store for Australian Kindle eBooks, but at this stage, the huge Amazon site for reviews and everything else is the US one, which will change in 2018. If you go to the US store you see reviews and so , and then you are redirected to the Aust. story to buy.
iBooks is the Apple eReader which includes its store. Audible is an Amazon subsidiary for audio books and has a player, and an Australian store. Kindle now offers the option for some books whereby once you purchase the eBook you can for about $3 get the matching audio book. You can then jump seamlessly from reading to listening to a book. It keeps your place. A very engaging option.
If you use the same account with your family members you can share eBook and audiobooks.
