Photos 2 sending photos and files

The Action icon opens a long list of applications that can be used to perform an action. Email is a simple option to send images and other files to other people, or to oneself. When using Safari, connections shows Bookmarks, Reading lists and other 'connections' that one can make.

Connections can be made to other Apps or to other devices and people.

The best option to transfer files between one's own Apple devices is AirDrop. Tap the AirDrop icon and nearby devices will appear - Macintosh and John's iPad as shown. In order to use AirDrop it has to be switched on in Setting. Note, AirDrop can be quickly accessed from the Control Centre (flip up from bottom of screen).

In Photos, groups of images can be selected and sent via Bluetooth to your other devices.

You can change the order of the options shown on the image. I use Gmail so I have dragged it's icon to the first position.

Skitch, the image annotation app appears on the list of apps so one can send an image directly to Skitch, and add annotations.
