Windows and IOS working together

While an all Apple household has significant advantages, IOS and Windows can cooperate quite well, largely due to the power of Cloud based services. iCloud works perfectly well from a Windows computer. The full Apple instructions are Here. Just set up iCloud on an Apple device, download the app on your Windows computer and link your photos, files etc to your iCloud storage and sharing.

You tell the iCloud app where to find your photos on your PC and they are added to your iCloud collection, and accessible from your IOS devices.

Calendar and Contacts
iCloud Calendar and Contacts can be accessed from a Windows computer and from an Android Smartphone. SmoothSync for iCloud Calendar is one of the apps on Google Play that will sync your iCloud Calendar on an Android phone. On a Windows PC iCloud for Windows will push your calendar to Microsoft Outlook calendar. See Here for more information.


You can also have a well integrated Calendar and Contacts on all your devices by using Google Calendar and Contacts. They will sync across all your devices.
